Polanco, El Jueves, la censura
A punto de acostarme, oigo en la radio las noticias y confirmo que algo muy grave sucede entre los medios de comunicación españoles. Me he pasado el fin de semana buscando enérgicas condenas al secuestro judicial de un ejemplar de El Jueves. Infructuosamente. Incluso Zarzalejos, el director del diario ABC, da por buena la decisión de Juan del Olmo en un grave ejemplo de “vivan las caenas”. Está claro que la libertad de expresión no es un objetivo para los creadores de opinión de este triste y gris país. Las reacciones oscilan entre “el dibujo es soez, pero no debería haber sido censurado” hasta “tal vez la decisión sea exagerada, pero el dibujo es soez” ¡Nadie se atreve a emitir una opinión que no incluya una valoración moral del dibujo!
Tras el secuestro el viernes por la mañana, la maquinaria informativa pareció dar buenos frutos. Las primeras declaraciones del autor del dibujo, Guillermo, se efectuaron en un chat con los lectores de elmundo.es el mismo día, por lo que tuvo que responder a preguntas sin duda mucho más interesantes que las que hubiera podido formular un periodista. No dijo nada interesante, pero la ocurrencia de que la pareja dibujada eran Tom Cruise y Katie Holmes fue reproducida ampliamente por la prensa. En efecto, el dibujo no especifica indudablemente que se trate de los príncipes de Asturias, por lo que si algún día este lamentable hecho llega a juicio será realmente gracioso ver a Cándido Conde Pumpido intentar demostrar que se trata de ellos.
El sábado y el domingo -un fin de semana de verano- se produjo la Gran Bomba: moría Jesús Polanco. Toda la maquinaria informativa del grupo PRISA se concentraba para honrar a su dueño. El ejemplar de El Pais dominical, que en un ejercicio de mediaburguesía ejemplar mis padres compran cada semana desde hace veinte años, venía con nada menos que 26 páginas dedicadas a la muerte de Polanco, incluyendo portada a cinco columnas, los tres editoriales y llorosas palabras dedicadas por todos los plumillas del grupo, algunos políticos, y el bochornoso caso de un José Saramago que, supongo que por necesidades alimenticias, escribía un breve texto en el que afirmaba no haber conocido a don Jesús. La defensa de la libertad de expresión quedaba oportunamente apartada por un poderosísimo grupo de comunicación que optaba por la conversión a un coro de plañideras.
El lunes por la mañana, hoy, ahora, el secuestro judicial de El Jueves se ha convertido al fin en anécdota. Tal y como el teleoperador lleva meses narrando desde su blog, la perversa maquinaria comunicacional favorece la difusión de anécdotas por encima de las noticias o los análisis. En este caso, la venta en eBay de ejemplares de la revista censurada. Pero no se queda ahí la cosa: todos los medios de comunicación reproducen el titular, la anécdota, la tontería “2500 euros por un ejemplar de El Jueves”. Cuando escucho por segunda vez en una hora esta chorrada, decido buscar yo mismo en eBay. Alguien ha decidido que el precio de salida de la subasta sean 2500 euros, y tamaña gilipollez es pregonada por todas las cadenas de radio y periódicos online.
Cierto es que los medios españoles mantienen una dificilísima relación con internet: saben que es importante, pero no tienen ni zorra idea de en qué consiste. La web todosconlapantoja, travesura realizada en una tarde por dos participantes de un concurso de virales, fue un gran ejemplo de ello. La edición de Hoy por hoy emitida en directo en Second Life -un mundo virtual con menos habitantes que Soria- fue otro. Y no iban a fallar menos en este caso. Según veo en eBay, alguien ha superado el precio de 2500 euros y pide 3000, por lo que la anécdota ni siquiera es válida tal y como ha llegado a los titulares.
Pero hay más. Vía menéame, me entero de que eBay ha retirado algunos ejemplares de subasta, dado que la difusión de la revista es delito o algo así. Vía menéame descubro también la página de la Fiscalía General del Estado, que alberga un formulario para enviar denuncias o sugerencias ¿El mismo formulario para sugerir que Conde Pumpido se afeite la barba, que para denunciar al vecino del séptimo por etarra? Un gran avance en el concepto de ventanilla única. Intento usar el formulario para autoinculparme de mi post de ayer, en el que me cagaba en el rey, a ver cuánto tarda la Guardia Civil en presentarse en mi casa. La web está estropeada y no me deja enviar el formulario. Pena.
Por último, la web de El Jueves está caída por mandato judicial ¿Por qué? Porque en ella se mostraba la portada de la revista de esta semana. Claro. Exactamente igual que en otras 12.000 webs de todo internet, incluyendo todos los medios de comunicación españoles. Algunos dirán que el chiste más gracioso de este episodio berlanguiano sucedió cuando el juez mandó requisar “los moldes”. Yo me quedo con el cierre de una web por sus contenidos, un concepto tan marciano como la presencia de Joan Laporta en el entierro de Jesús Polanco.
Cierro con una portada del Tmeo, revista que sigo con mucha más afición que El Jueves, y que nunca ha sido secuestrada.
