Hay quienes después de una noche de fiesta se despiertan con personas desnudas en la cama. Yo, en cambio, he amanecido con hipo, un ejemplar de El Semanal de ABC y un patético post adolescente que no me acuerdo de haber escrito.
-Cosa curiosa, el hipo. No hay manera de mantener la dignidad.

Así que me he leído El Semanal antes de levantarme. Es una revistilla curiosa, muy fashion como todas las revistas semanales (su directora de arte se llama Izumi Inoue, a que mola), y esta semana habla del mundo sin petróleo que se nos avecina. A cambio, en El Semanal escriben los cuatro peores columnistas de España, de los cuales dos están convencidos a su vez de ser los mejores del mundo.
-Eh… rebobina ahí que no me entero.

El garbancero: Arturo Pérez
El primero se llama Arturo Pérez. Fue corresponsal de guerra, como el majete de Jon Hastaenlasopa Sistiaga, y luego presentó el Telediario. Aparte de eso, escribe los libros que lee tu madre en la playa, o que te regala esa novia que va a dejar de serlo muy pronto pero no lo sabe. Pero el monstruo de Frankenstein de Arturo Pérez es una especie de sargento chusquero de la Guardia Civil del siglo diecisiete, y se llama Diego Alatriste. Es una especie de intento de héroe maldito con un pasado oscuro (Arturo Pérez el original, le llamaban) situado en la España postgloriosa tras la guerra de Flandes. El señor Alatriste es un borracho con una espada, cosa peligrosa de por sí, que se mete en intrigas palaciegas acompañado por un adolescente -el narrador- y por personajes como Quevedo o Velázquez. Me recuerda a Jack Bourbon, el detective cinéfilo del programa del cine de la SER, que tampoco tiene puta gracia.
Aparte de todo esto, Arturo Pérez tiene desde hace trece años una página en El Semanal en la que desgrana las cosas que le cabrean. Esta página está plagada de todas esas expresiones arrabaleras que no se pueden plasmar en un best seller. Un ejemplo de la revista de hoy:
La chulería y el desprecio continuos de Londres, los barcos de la OTAN escoltados por naves británicas bandera al viento cuando cruzan la bahía de Algeciras, el contubernio portuario, el pasarse por el forro de los huevos las aguas territoriales españolas, el blanqueo de dinero, los treinta mil gibraltareños y su chollo vitalicio, beneficiándose al mismo tiempo de España, Gran Bretaña, la Unión Europea y el campo de Gibraltar, no van a secuestrar las grandes líneas de nuestra serena política exterior.
Sí, amigos. Arturo Pérez es facha, reaccionario y garbancero, y seguro que se indignó muchísimo la mañana en que cuatro moros se subieron al piedro de Perejil. Por si eso fuera poco, es miembro de la Real Academia de la Lengua y no voy a hacer ningún comentario sobre este espinoso asunto.
A mí me cabrea Arturo Pérez, pero nadie me paga por ello.
El meapilas: Juan Manuel de Prada
Comenzaría este escrito por la definición de meapilas según el diccionario de la RAE, pero lo escribe un tipo del que no me fío. Juan Manuel era un chaval zamorano, monaguillo y homosexual reprimido, que a los veinticinco años salió por primera vez de su habitación para ganar el premio Planeta 1997. Dicho así puedes pensar que tiene que ser un hacha escribiendo, el tipo. No. Juan Manuel de Prada era sencillamente el hombre adecuado en el momento adecuado, cuando el Partido Popular comenzó a construir su efímero imperio propagandístico -lo tuvieron todo, sólo les queda La Razón- y había un grave déficit de intelectuales, como siempre ha sucedido en la salchichera derecha española. Juan Manuel se hizo tertuliano profesional, engordó veinte kilos, se dedicó a sacar un librito cada dos años, se casó… y a vivir que son dos días. Ahora que se han ido los suyos le auguro un pobre futuro.
A estos curas y monjas -que, por lo demás, constituyen una inmensa mayoría- nadie les presta su voz, quizá porque la virtud no vende en el mercado de la carnaza, quizá porque su ejemplo callado, su heroísmo silencioso, refuta esa imagen siniestra que se pretende ofrecer de la Iglesia.
El apasionante mundo de las tertulias políticas españolas: unos tienen a Ramoncín, los otros tienen a Juan Manuel de Prada.
El aficionado: Carlos Herrera
A veces nos encontramos con personas que no hacen bien su trabajo. Pasa todos los días, y más en este país. Tenemos a los programadores del PC Fútbol, a Raúl en la selección, al fontanero de mi casa… a veces, se juntan muchos incompetentes y se monta el Fórum de Barcelona.
Otras veces, en cambio, nadie se da cuenta, y estos profesionales desarrollan su labor durante treinta años, con éxito y todo. Es el caso de Carlos Herrera. He leído por ahí que es una pieza fundamental del periodismo español. Pues bueno, yo he oído su programa de radio dos veces y lo único que me llamó la atención fue que ha recuperado su acento andaluz, como María Teresa Campos. Además, ha presentado programas en la tele de coplas y cosas así. Carlos Herrera ejerce de andaluz, y no tiene ni la gracia ni el salero correspondientes. Como tampoco tiene el rigor periodístico -es presentador de un programa de variedades, no de un informativo- ¿qué nos queda? Bueno… pues eso es Carlos Herrera. Ni chicha ni limoná. A las abuelas les gusta porque fuma puros, tiene una voz grave muy bonita y ETA le puso una bomba.
Pero lo grave es que Carlos Herrera, como todo periodista, desconoce la palabra especialización. Así que le ha dado por escribir. Nada serio, libritos para leer en vacaciones, pero con un nivel alarmantemente bajo. Lo digo con todas las letras: Carlos Herrera no sabe escribir. No es que escriba mal, como Arturo Pérez; es que no sabe manejar el lenguaje, no sabe narrar… y lo que es peor: no se plantea jamás si lo que escribe es interesante. Así que escribe sobre lo que le pasa cotidianamente: que si su hija de seis años ha escrito un poema más bonito que los de Gala, que si le molesta la gente que habla por teléfono en el tren…
Desconozco si la tecnología permite instalar inhibidores telefónicos en la zona de asientos propiamente dicha y dejar libre de recepción la parte de las maletas o los cafés, pero, de ser posible, suplicaría de rodillas a las autoridades ferroviarias de España, en mi condición de paciente escuchador de problemas que no me atañen, la adopción de esta o alguna otra medida que recluya a los pelmas en zonas determinadas.
En su web dice y, por si nadie lo sabe, hizo la mili en Ferrocarriles ¿Por si nadie? Eso lo ha escrito alguien que no sabe escribir, y no quiero señalar…
El newager: Paulo Coelho
Paulo Coelho es el mejor escritor de la historia de la humanidad, el mesías redentor al que siguen siete mil millones de personas de todo el universo en la senda de la sabiduría… o al menos, eso es lo que puedes deducir de su web oficial. La realidad es mucho más dura: Paulo Coelho es otro de los cientos de escritores espirituales que pululan por la Era de Acuario. En este curioso grupo, todos afirman ser el único y el definitivo. Algunos escriben libros de autoayuda, otros de ciencia ficción, y nuestro personaje escribe novelitas, suavísimas como una toalla recién planchada, plagadas de admoniciones y sentencias morales de las más variadas tradiciones indígenas. Este estilo paternalista encanta a las madres, y las continuas referencias a sabios chinos y chamanes mexicanos atrae a los practicantes de artes marciales. Acabo antes diciendo que Paulo Coelho gusta a todo el mundo, porque ése es su estilo. Es un magnífico escritor de diseño, y El Alquimista es un librito encantador, pero leer cada domingo los dos o tres refranes desarrollados por sus becarios con los que llena su página de El Semanal cansa a cualquiera.
Cada golpe recibido en el pasado fue también una manera de aprender alguna lección, y evitar las trampas del futuro. El verdadero camino está basado en las cuatro virtudes, y limitarlo a su manifestación física es empobrecerlo, pues el cuerpo tiene sus límites. El alma, sin embargo, es tan grande como el universo, y puede entender todo lo que el amor nos enseña. El verdadero guerrero está siempre armado con tres cosas: la espada radiante de la pacificación, el espejo cristalino de la sabiduría y la amistad y la joya de la luz divina. In Starcraft, a mecca of Korea University has discovered that computer addiction can heal - ostensibly in Starcraft - with antidepressants. These usually come in depression, panic attacks, phobias and much more used.
Starcraft addiction seems to represent a serious problem in Korea. The Department of Psychiatry, Chung Ang University found in a study that video games can be and in the case of the study ostensibly cured Starcraft addiction with large doses of bupropion. It is a dopamine and norepinephrine inhibitor that is normally used as an antidepressant.
